Core: Health
All characters in Monomyth have a Health Pool that determines how much damage they can take before they are rendered unconscious and on the edge of death.
All damaging effects and abilities reduce a character's remaining health pool. When a character's health is reduced to 0, they begin dying (see Core: Death).
A character's maximum health is determined by their level as laid out in Core: Character Progression. Characters cannot have more than their maximum health, unless they are granted Bonus Health by an effect or ability.
Bonus Health
Some effects and abilities can grant characters Bonus Health. This health pool acts as bonus health for the character and is removed before health from their Health pool when that character takes damage. Bonus Health cannot be healed and does not continue through a Rest.
Characters that are granted bonus health while they are dying are able to get up, however they will instantly start dying again if they have 0 Health and the bonus health they are granted runs out or the effect that created it expires.
